Fractions - Toru

Today in Toru we were looking at mixed and improper fractions. We made a number line and used the idea of a chocolate bar which had been cut into thirds to help us make that connection.

Today in room 1 we are learning about fractions. We are doing fraction walls. By making a fraction wall we are able to notice equivalent fractions and order fractions from smallest to largest.

Cubes

In room 1 we are looking at the 2-D and 3-D shapes. We were making cubes today with sticks and play dough and counting how many vertices, edges and faces a cube has.
